Nokia Commits $4 Billion to U.S. AI Network Infrastructure Expansion
Nokia has unveiled a $4 billion multi-year investment plan to bolster its U.S. research, development, and manufacturing capabilities, with a focus on AI-ready network technologies. The initiative includes $3.5 billion for R&D in mobile networks, fixed access, IP routing, and optical systems, alongside $500 million for facility expansions in Texas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
The MOVE follows Nokia's recent $2.3 billion U.S. expansion and acquisition of Infinera, positioning the company as a key player in upcoming BEAD-funded broadband deployments. This strategic push underscores the growing demand for high-speed data processing and low-latency systems as America accelerates its digital modernization efforts.
